Songbird Acupuncture is OPEN for in-person services. In order to protect the health of our community, I am following all CDC guidelines for health care providers. PLEASE READ the following information, which applies to ALL appointments:
MASKS ARE REQUIRED at all times in the office. If you don’t have one, I will provide one.
If you have any of the following: fever, chills, body aches, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, nasal symptoms, loss of smell or taste, or digestive upset, please do not schedule an in-person appointment. Songbird Acupuncture is not providing in-person care for any acute illness at this time.
All patients will be screened prior to treatment. If you have suspected symptoms or exposure, you will be asked to reschedule to at least 2 weeks in the future.
I am checking my temperature and oxygen saturation at the beginning of each shift.
The waiting room is closed. Please do not come early to your appointment. If you do, you may wait in the parking lot until your scheduled time.
Treatment times have been adjusted so that there is only one person in the clinic at a time. You won’t come into contact with anyone but me during your appointment.
HEPA air filters with UV-C run in each treatment room. After a patient leaves, the treatment table and all other possible contact surfaces are disinfected with a botanically-based spray (EPA-approved for use against COVID-19). The room then sits empty for at least an hour before being used again.
Water, sheets, and blankets will not be available during treatments at this time.
If you would prefer to receive care without leaving your home, I now offer VIRTUAL VISITS to anyone who would like support in remaining healthy, minimizing stress, and addressing ongoing health needs.
One patient raves: “I’ve been surprised by the value of the virtual treatments. I come away with pressure points as well as a detailed treatment plan that includes herb and nutritional recommendations. I love having something on hand to reference.”
These telehealth sessions are conducted by secure video call and offer a range of options, depending on what is appropriate for you:
Personalized acupressure protocols for daily self-care
Herbal medicine and supplement consults
Aroma AcuPoint Therapy protocols using essential oils
Guided meditation or breathwork to alleviate stress and calm the nervous system
Nutrition and/or lifestyle advice
Facial guasha lessons (for cosmetic use or nasal allergies)
Guidance on the best ways to keep you and your family healthy during this time
A safe and calm space to air whatever feelings you may be experiencing
Think of virtual visits as just like an office visit, minus the acupuncture. They will be available for adults and children and can be booked online. For those who just need an herbal prescription, I am also offering herbal-only consultations.
